Roll Ball: The Exciting Sport on Wheels

What is Roll Ball?

Roll Ball is an exhilarating game played between two teams on roller skates. Each team consists of 12 players, with 6 on the field and 6 in reserve. The main objective is to score the maximum number of goals within a stipulated time. A unique feature of Roll Ball is that players can hold the ball in one or both hands, even when passing, and must repeatedly bounce it on the ground.

The International Roll Ball Federation aims to promote this newly established game worldwide, making it popular among school and college students. This fast-growing sport of the century has spread its wings globally, gaining attention from the sports fraternity and applause from the public. It has truly become the heartbeat of youth, fostering unity and cultural exchange.

Playing Court

The Roll Ball court is a dynamic space, varying from 28 to 40 meters in length and 15 to 20 meters in width. Key features include:

  • A center line dividing offensive and defensive areas
  • A penalty line 4.5m or 3.5m from the goal
  • A free throw line (D arena) 3.5m to 2.5m from the goal
  • A 5cm boundary line with other markings in red or white
  • A hard surface court (concrete, wood, or clay)
  • A 3-meter safety margin outside the boundary
  • Goals measuring 2.25m wide by 2.00m high

Equipment

The roll ball is a shared piece of equipment, used by multiple players during the game. Here are the specifications:

Rules

Roll Ball Itself is an unique game on wheels creating a unique and exciting sport. Key rules include:

  • Players must wear protective gear (helmets, knee pads)
  • Wear additional chest protectors
  • Goal post sizes for different age categories
  • Matches consist of two 20-minute periods
  • Tied games may have a 5-minute extension
  • skates With stoppers are not allowed during a match
  • Ball must be passed within 3 seconds if dribbling stops
